Muncie man attempts to flee Michigan State Police
COLDWATER, Mich. – Michigan State Police intercepted a reckless driver who attempted to flee from troopers Wednesday night.
According to MSP the driver was traveling northbound on I-69 around near Fenn Road while driving at high speeds around 7:00 p.m.
Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver fled east on US-12 for roughly half a mile before crashing into another vehicle.
According to officials the suspect attempted to flee on foot while leaving the vehicle rolling and in gear.
Troopers followed the suspect on foot and apprehended him in the parking lot of the Tractor Supply before he could succeed in his alleged attempts to steal another vehicle from a patron of the business.
MSP have not released the name of the suspect but did confirm that the suspect is a 31-year-old male from Muncie, Indiana.
According to troopers the man was transported to CHC for medical treatment and will later be held at Branch County Jail on multiple charges pending his arraignment in Branch County District Court.
