One woman arrested in connection with death of 21-year-old Fulton County woman

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. – One person was arrested in connection with the death of a Fulton County woman in August, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Twenty-seven-year-old Christina M. Mendoza was arrested for domestic battery resulting in death, deputies reported.

On August 30, 2021, emergency personnel responded to an address for a report of an unresponsive female.

Despite performing life-saving measures, 21-year-old Cheyenne Ruttschaw was pronounced dead at the scene.

On October 12, an autopsy determined that Ruttschaw died from multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death was a homicide, according to reports.
