PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) -- Deputies with the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office rescued a hunter stuck in a safety harness and hanging from a tree Tuesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the man, from Prineville, was suspended upside down from the tree and was more than 30 feet in the air.
The man said he had been stuck in the tree near Ukiah for two days before another hunter found him.
Deputies, medics and U.S. Forest officials used a bucket truck and removed the man from the harness and the tree.
The man was transported by helicopter to an area hospital. The sheriff’s office says his current condition is unknown.
