Ten Foot Waves!

Lake Michigan is turning into a surfer's paradise and a swimmer's nightmare.

Brian Dorman went up to Silver Beach today, and shared these photos with me!  They are awesome, and the waves are only going to get bigger!

Labor Day Weekend is unofficially the end of summer for most people, and naturally everyone wants to soak up every last minute of the warm and sunny weather.  This Labor Day holiday is looking a little more on the cloudy side, and although the waves may look enticing, they will also pose a serious threat to inexperienced swimmers.

The rip current risk is back to high, and for good reason!  Wave heights will be building to as high as 10 feet!  And, winds from the north of 15-20 miles per hour will be gusting to 30MPH.  Air temperatures will top out in the mid and upper 60s, so a crisp day too!

Sounds like a good day to avoid swimming, if you ask me!
