Tree lighting service honors loved ones

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- There will be a Tree of Life lighting service and ceremony at Saint Joseph Health System Mishawaka Medical Center on Friday, December 1st.

The Foundation of Saint Joseph Health System is hosting the ceremony to honor and rememberloved ones for the Christmas season.

The main tree in the lobby will have a special ornament to represent all the loved ones who have passed.

The tree will remain lit the entire Christmas season while donations are collected from the ornaments will benefit patients in financial need.

St. Paul's Handbell choir will perform songs and hymns of the season during the ceremony as well.

The service will start at 1 p.m. when the choir performance begins, and the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.
