USMNT misses World Cup for first time since 1986
COUVA, Trinidad. – The United States Men’s National Team has not qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
Falling 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago, the team will not participate in the event after being projected by 90% to make the event.
The controversy surrounding the United States qualification comes mainly from phantom goal scored by Panama which eliminated Costa Rica from contention.
Wins by Panama and Honduras sealed the USMNT’s fate, eliminating all chances for a long shot qualification.
