Elkhart Farmers Market returns May 4

ELKHART, Ind. -- This Saturday marks the kickoff of the 2024 Elkhart Farmers Market at Kardzhali Park in downtown Elkhart. The market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 4 until Sept. 28.   

Organizers say the market features locally grown, farm-fresh produce as well as plants, baked goods, handcrafted items, and more.

“We're thrilled to be celebrating our seventh year in downtown Elkhart,” said Event Assistant Maddy Gordon. “This season promises exciting theme days, live music to liven up the atmosphere, and the highly anticipated return of our loyalty card, a hit with shoppers last year. Plus, we're expanding with an even larger lineup of vendors than ever before, ensuring there's something special for everyone at the market!”

The free loyalty card rewards shoppers who visit the market on a regular basis, giving them a prize donated from a local business for every ten visits.

Organizers say the market was recently voted the Favorite Elkhart Downtown Activity for the second year.

"The well-crafted market is a great reason for residents and visitors to visit downtown Elkhart, where they can enjoy the scenery of the RiverWalk while shopping for produce or handcrafted items," said the city's Director of Communication Corrine Straight.
