Part of Michigan Street to temporarily close starting Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced on Friday that, beginning Monday, Michigan Street from Colfax Avenue to Washington Street will be closed for sewer repair work.

"The closure is expected to last three days and the street should be open by the end of business on May 8, weather permitting," city officials said. "During this construction, pedestrian access to all businesses will be maintained. Detour route will be Main Street via Colfax or Washington."
