ABC 57

Here are just a few of the events and activities going on in the Michiana areas this weekend.

The Niles Renaissance Faire

The Niles Renaissance Faire is coming to Plym Park on Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers say guests can expect merchants selling their wares and bards who will lull you with their musical talents at the celebration of medieval times. They add you could even be heckled by their town fool. A children’s scavenger hunt will also be held.

Admission for ages 13 and up is $7 and children aged 5 to 12 is $5. Seniors and veterans are $5 and children under 5 are free.

Kids to Parks Day

South Bend Venues Parks and Arts are hosting two celebrations on Saturday as part of the nationwide "Kids to Parks Day". The day aims to encourage kids and families to get active and connected with nature in the community.

The public is invited to Potawatomi Park and Kennedy Park for family-fun filled with field games, activities, music and live entertainment, and community resources.

Both events go from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The activities are for kids ages 3 to 12, but organizers say all are welcome to get outside and play.

Both parks will have inflatables, red spin chairs, yard games, yoga, Zumba, Spark, and community booths.
