MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. --Hold hope together. That’s the slogan Haley and her husband Nathan Stegelmann have been going by ever since the news of Nathan's diagnosis to ALS And now, they’re trying to spin a negative to a positive.
Commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, ALS is a motor neuron issue that attacks the nerves and muscles in the body.
To bring awareness to the disease- they are hosting ‘Steps for Stegs’. The fun run and 5k event is aiming to raise money to purchase a handicap accessible van along with a wheelchair for Nathan.
Registration and t-shirt pick-up will start at noon and last until 2 pm at Plymouth High School.
The cost for the fun run/walk will be 20 dollars and will begin at 2 pm at the high school track in Plymouth. The 5k run/walk will be $25 and start at 2:30.
Haley says she and her husband have been extremely grateful for the overwhelming support they receive from the Plymouth community.
