ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, or CASA, are looking for volunteers to support kids in the foster care system.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays in September and October, volunteers can be trained to act as advocates for kids. Once trained, volunteers will know how to talk with service providers, foster parents and foster children to make judgments with the child’s best interest in mind to present to the court.
Amanda Buchholz, a recruiter and trainer with St. Joseph County CASA, joined ABC57’s Summer Horan to share how volunteers can sign up for training.
