1 injured in boating accident on Big Fish Lake

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A Granger man was sent to the hospital following a boating accident on Big Fish Lake Friday morning. 

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 8:50 a.m., a vessel driven by Michael Mondovich, 55, had struck a pier and two boats.

Investigators reveal that Mondovich may have suffered a medical condition causing him to lose control of the boat as he lost consciousness.

First responders performed life-saving CPR on Mondovich where he was transported by PrideCare Ambulance to Borgess Lee Memorial.

The accident is under investigation.
