SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Wednesday’s events in Florida had the newsroom buzzing about the school shootings that United States have faced thus far in 2018.
The shooting in Parkland, Fla. Marks the 18th school shooting this year.
A map created by the team looks at the country and the locations of those shootings.
According to Every town For Gun Safety, a gun control group, a school shooting is classified as that anytime a gun discharges a bullet inside a school building.
Not all of the shootings resulted in physical harm, but we know that eight of the 18 have caused injury or death.
