All lanes of LaSalle Ave. reopened

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - LaSalle Avenue has been reopened and freshly paved.
The street had been closed previously, preventing two-way traffic, due to the city's Streetscape Project.
The street's improvements include raised intersections and crosswalks, a two-way cycle track and expanded sidewalks, with all landscaping anticipated to be finished by April 2024.
The Streetscape Project's intention was to provide safety for pedestrians while getting drivers to slow down.
