SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Amazon is opening a new site on Olive Street in South Bend as part of five new delivery locations being opened across Indiana.
The South Bend facility will handle larger Amazon packages like televisions or cribs.
The retail giant says the new locations is expected to create hundreds of new job opportunities amid the pandemic.
"At Amazon, we’re all about efficiency,” stated Tyler Crabb of Amazon, “We’re expanding in Indiana. We’ve got five stations slated to open this year just in northern Indiana. My station was launched back in February on the sixteenth, and it just shows Amazon’s commitment to growing Indiana and Michiana as a whole.”
The new location will join the state’s seven existing delivery sites across the state, in addition to the 250 locations across the nation.
