Body found along walking trail near Darden Bridge
UPDATE: Based on preliminary findings, St. Joseph County police believe the woman found on the trail died by suicide.
ORIGINAL STORY:
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A body has been found along a walking trail near Darden Bridge, located between Darden Road and Riverside Drive, this morning.
St. Joseph County Police were dispatched to the area after a call was received by a person walking the trail at approximately 7 a.m. for a what appeared to be a person laying on the ground.
Upon arrival, police found the person deceased. County Police Detectives are investigating the scene.
An autopsy will be performed Tuesday morning. No further information is currently being released.
