Both Notre Dame and Clemson enter game undefeated

CLEMSON, SC -

The game between Notre Dame and Clemson is generating a lot of discussion and is the match-up of the week. Both teams enter the game undefeated and both want to stay that way.

Although it's still early in the season, the game could have playoff implications for each team as well.

The Irish offense seems to be on a roll after a big win last week over UMass.

Offense could be a struggle for Clemson though - if they can't make some big plays against Notre Dame.

And those big plays are exactly what the Irish are expecting from Tigers' quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Lead tackler Jaylon Smith says they need to be ready for anything - and Saturday's game could be one long, hard battle.

"Elusiveness and the fact that he's a good playmaker. And it's something that, we have to do a good job at, making sure we stop him," Smith said. "It's going to take four quarters to get the victory and we have to be locked in every, single play because many things can occur."

The other big topic among fans is the weather. The National Weather Service is calling Saturday's rainfall predictions "historic and potentially life-threatening." School officials say they're monitoring the situation.
