BREMEN, Ind. -- The Bremen Fire Department invited families and community members to see how their support helps fund equipment, fire trucks and ambulances at a community giving-back event on Saturday.
Attendees enjoyed food, watched a fire hose demonstration for children, and observed other hands-on activities. A scheduled demonstration of the Jaws of Life cutting open a car took place earlier in the day.
Firefighters said the event was designed to show residents how their donations are used and to strengthen community connections.
