Cassopolis man dies in single-vehicle crash

Cass County Sheriff’s Office CASSOPOLIS, Mich. - A Cassopolis man died in a single-vehicle crash in Wayne Township Sunday morning, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene, on Dutch Settlement Road near Nubour Street, at 7:40 a.m.
According to the investigation, 72-year-old Doren Preston was driving east on Dutch Settlement when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors, deputies reported.
