Maria Stancati, Executive Director of Dismas House of Indiana, said, "People are individuals and they have their own stories. And they have their own trials and tribulations. So, people need to realize that, and I think, I hope, this is what people recognize and take from this."
The non-profit hosted the re-entry simulation at the St. Joseph County Public Library where dozens of people had the chance to take part in a range of challenges that former inmates face every day.
The goal was to help people understand how hard re-entering society can be.
