Edwardsburg man injured in single car accident

MILTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Sheriff Richard Behnke confirmed a crash resulting in injury on Runkle Street near Beebe Road in Cass County at approximately 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to officials, 19 year-old Edwardsburg resident Trevor Rutledge was operating his vehicle when he lost control on a curve.

Rutledge’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned.

Sheriff Behnke confirmed that Rudledge was transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for treatment.

Behnke believes the victim was wearing his seatbelt, and that alcohol was not a factor.

Officials say this crash is under investigation.
