Explore Southwest Michigan trails year-round with new tourist council challenge

Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council

The Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council invites residents to get outside year-round with its new Trails Challenge, designed to show off the best of nature in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties.

The challenge is open to all ages. The first 100 people to complete five trail check-ins win a branded bag and commemorative sticker.

To join, download the Visit Southwest Michigan app from the App Store or Google Play, set up an account and select start on the “Trails Challenge” option. From there, choose from over two dozen trails to explore. As you venture out, be sure to take a selfie and upload it to the app.

Though the challenge closes after 100 people successfully complete it, the council encourages locals and visitors alike to set their own goals for hitting the trails in 2024. While many in the area are free, some may require parking or admission fees. Click here for a list.
