Fatal motorcycle crash in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. - Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on CR 750 North at the intersection of CR750 West.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded Friday night to a single vehicle motorcycle crash.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a single motorcycle involved in the crash.

Preliminary investigation determined a 1986 Honda motorcycle, driven by 36-year-old Benjamin R. Stogsdill, was eastbound on CR 750 North and failed to stop for a stop sign at CR 750 West.

The motorcycle continued east through the intersection striking an earth embankment and trees before coming to rest. 

Stogsdill, of Nappanee, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT Team.
