GOSHEN, Ind. – Flooding issues after almost 24 hours of near continuous rainfall
and massive snow melt caused the evacuation of residents at Creekside Estates Wednesday morning.The mobile home neighborhood is on Indiana Avenue.
Rescue crews were seen wading through water well above knee level, using rafts to remove residents from their homes.
Fire officials say 10 people were rescued by boats, 30 found shelter on their own, and four people are sheltering in place on higher ground.
NIPSCO has shut off power and gas to the neighborhood.
