MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Police are investigating after a loaded gun went off inside the Red Robin restaurant on Main Street Saturday night.
Police logs show officers were called out to the location around 9 p.m. That report states than an unknown suspect dropped a handgun on the ground. The gun fired a round, which went through the ceiling.
The Mishawaka Police Department confirms the person left the restaurant before police arrived, and they’re still attempting to make contact with him or her.
Red Robin’s corporate office sent ABC57 a statement, saying “regarding guests (customers), Red Robin follows local and open carry and concealed weapons laws.”
Company officials say they do not have surveillance video of the incident.
