ISP arrests a Leesburg man on drug related charges

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana State Troopers served a warrant on a Leesburg, Ind. man after a several-week long drug investigation. 

Police say the investigation began after they received numerous tips about drug dealing at the man's house. 

After serving the search warrant, they say they found 123 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 75 grams of suspected marijuana, two firearms, pills, cocaine, and drug related paraphernalia.

The investigation closed on Tuesday, Sept. 5, with the arrest of 50-year-old John Heeter.

Police say he has prior drug charges as well as charges of "felon in possession of a handgun" and "maintaining a common nuisance." 

Heeter was taken to the Kosciusko County jail.
