Ivy Tech exceeds fundraising goal to benefit youth summer camp

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Ivy Tech Community College’s South Bend-Elkhart campus raised $15,671 during Giving Tuesday to support Ivy STEAM, a summer campus focused on introducing and inspiring disadvantaged middle school students to college.

The South Bend-Elkhart Foundation exceeded its goal of $10,000.

Twenty four sixth graders from the South Bend community will take part in the free camp facilitated by faculty, students, and staff from varying departments at Ivy Tech.

The camp emphasizes area of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
