Lane closures on U.S. 20 in La Porte County, expect delays

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. - INDOT says there will be lane closures on U.S. 20 between C.R. North 400 West and Springville Road beginning on April 2.

Westbound lanes of U.S. 20 will be closed for construction, and the eastbound lanes will be converted to two-way traffic as part of phase one.

Traffic will shift to westbound lanes during phase two, with the eastbound lanes closed for construction.

Traffic on C.R. North 300 West will not have access to U.S. 20, and a local detour will be posted.

Lane closures will go through July.

The work includes roadway widening and resurfacing, drainage improvements, and culvert extension.

A traffic signal will be installed at C.R. North 300 West.

INDOT asks drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and to follow traffic directions carefully.
