Man seriously injured in tractor accident

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a farming accident Sunday evening.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and other first responders were called to Roth Road near Dewey Lake around 9:15 p.m.
Officials found 59-year-old Leonard Eugene Philips of Dowagiac had fallen from his tractor and was run over by one of the wheels.
He was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
