LA PORTE, Ind. — La Porte leaders say each Data Center project coming to the area is different, but they are confident Microsoft will be a good partner.
The city says with Microsoft paying what they are calling their “fair share” of property taxes, 15 percent will go to the La Porte Community School Corporation over the next 20 years in an unprecedented deal.
While the exact amount the schools will see is not yet known, Superintendent Sandra Wood, says it will be a game changer for their 6,000 students and programs.
