The Northern Lights could be seen in Michiana tonight!
A strong Geomagnetic Storm has been ongoing and is expected to continue tonight. The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, were seen as far south as the Carolinas last night!
Thankfully the weather will corporate with clear skies in the forecast but the moon may may make it harder to see as the night continues.
If you plan on heading out to try to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights, here is what you need to know:
- Head away from city lights
- Best timing is just after dusk to midnight
- Look north for a green glow in the horizon
