One killed in crash on Redfield Street near Edwardsburg

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. - One man was killed in a crash on Redfield Street, west of Adamsville Road, Thursday afternoon, according to the Ontwa Township – Edwardsburg Police Department.
The victim was identified as 79-year-old Robert Lockmondy of Union.
According to law enforcement, Lockmondy was driving east on Redfield when he crossed the center line and drove off the road, crashing into a tree.
Police believe Lockmondy had a medical issue before the crash.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
