Two seriously injured in crash on CR6 in Elkhart

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Two people suffered life threatening injuries in a crash at the intersection of County Roads 6 and 7 in Elkhart Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a truck hauling a Bobcat construction vehicle was driving eastbound on CR6 when the light turned yellow and the driver continued into the intersection.

The car was traveling west on CR6 and turned left to go south on CR7 and the two vehicles crashed in the intersection, according to Elkhart Police.

The truck left the road and hit a traffic light pole.

Several people were in the truck at the time of the crash. They were taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

One of the people in the truck had life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
