SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating after someone in an SUV fired shots at another vehicle and caused it to drive off the road Wednesday afternoon.
Police were sent to the area for a vehicle crash and then were notified of the shots fired.
The driver told police someone in a dark colored SUV shot at his vehicle. While trying to flee, he crashed into a yard in the 600 block of S. 30th Street.
The driver's young daughter was in the back seat.
After the crash, he ran from the vehicle, but returned as officers arrived.
No one was shot but a nearby vehicle and a garage had bullet holes.
The suspect vehicle is a dark colored SUV, but there is no description of the suspects.
