Reckless driver caught after pursuit

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Deputies observed a vehicle merging into oncoming traffic and almost crashing into an oncoming vehicle, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Department. 

As deputies activated their lights, the pursued vehicle refused to stop, traveling an additional 13 miles northbound through Silver Creek Township.

The driver then ended in a field in Van Buren County, fleeing on foot into a thick wooded area. 

Van Buren deputies arrived on the scene with their K-9 who tracked the suspect. 

The suspect was located and taken to the hospital for their injuries.
