Rochester man receives suspended sentence for sexual misconduct with a minor

FULTON COUNT, Ind. -- A Rochester man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor, according to court records.

Jeffrey Craft was charged with one count of child molesting on July 7, 2021. He was accused of molesting a young relative multiple times over the course of several weeks.

The victim told investigators Craft sexually abused her approximately 25 times between April and June, according to court records.

On February 14, the charges were amended to add a count of sexual misconduct with a minor and Craft pleaded guilty to that charge.

The count of child molesting was dismissed.

On Monday, Craft was sentenced to 910 days in prison with credit for 324 days already served. The remaining sentence, 586 days, was suspended.

He will serve a year on probation.
