Roundabout open at Redfield Street, Gumwood Road

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - The new roundabout at the intersection of Redfield Street and Gumwood Road is officially open to traffic, according to the Cass County Road Commission.

Conversation about the roundabout began in 2010 and construction finally started back in July of this year.

This summer’s construction was part of phase one of the project, which included a three-legged intersection for traffic.

Phase two, expected to begin in 2024, will focus on the north leg, and connect the western part of Gumwood to the roundabout.
