UPDATE: Section of Linco Road in Berrien County reopened
Berrien County Road Department UPDATE: As of 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the section of Linco Road between Jericho Road and Date Road in Berrien County has been reopened ahead of schedule.
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Linco Road between Jericho Road and Date Road in Berrien County will be closed starting 8 a.m. Wednesday morning and will stay closed for roughly a week until repair work is complete.
"A contractor doing utility related repair work in the road right-of-way, including an open cut across Linco Road, will result in a road closure," the Berrien County Road Department said. Please seek alternative routes until road is reopened. "Linco Road will be closed to all thru traffic between Jericho and Date for utility related repair work. Through traffic is requested to follow signed detour or seek alternative routes until work is completed. Linco Road will be reopened to traffic once work has been completed."
The project is expected to be completed in less than a week, depending on weather conditions.
The detour route will be Jericho Road to Hinchman Road to Date Road, and back to Linco Road.
