Seven people arrested on drug charges in downtown Three Rivers

THREE RIVERS, Mich. -- Three Rivers Police arrested seven people on drug charges after an investigation into illegal drug activity at an apartment in the downtown business district.

Earlier this week, police were informed of possible drug activity in downtown Three Rivers.

During the investigation, police began confirming the information and identifying potential subjects involved in the alleged illegal drug activity.

Around 2 a.m. on Friday morning, Three Rivers Police, the St. Joseph County Narcotics Team and a K9 unit served a search warrant at a residence at 13 N. Main Street.

Police located six people inside and the K9 unit apprehended a seventh suspect fleeing the scene, police said.

Seven adults were arrested on various preliminary charges including maintaining a drug house, operating a meth lab, possession of methamphetamine, fugitive warrants and probation violations.

The names of the subjects were not released.
