Several Michiana Applebee’s affected by data breach compromising credit cards

If you have been to the Applebee’s in Elkhart, Goshen, Granger, Plymouth, South Bend, or Warsaw recently, check your banking information for a possible compromise.

RMH Franchise Holdings owns and operates more than 160 locations across the United States.

According to RMH, they recently discovered malware that captured payment card information in their software.

The compromising malware could enable hackers to steal names, card numbers along with the expiration dates and card verification codes that were used during specific time periods.

RMH stated the breach happened from November 2017 to January 2018.

The Indiana Applebee’s that were impacted were from Dec. 6th to Jan. 2nd.

If you visited an Applebee’s, closely monitor your statements. If there is an unauthorized charge to your account, notify the bank that issued that card.
