SOUTH BEND, Ind. – It was a ride to remind people to watch out on the roads.
Wednesday, the Spirit Ride drove through South Bend and Michigan City.
Drivers want to raise awareness for the "slow down and move over" laws.
It's the first year of this nationwide campaign.
Tow truck drivers, emergency vehicles, and a ceremonial casket is part of the procession.
"First responders need the courtesy and they need you to slow down move over and save lives, show them that respect they're out there helping the public so help them,” said spokespersons for the Spirit Ride, Mike and Ilce Corbin.
The "slow down and move over" laws impact drivers passing pulled over vehicles on interstates and highways.
