Ten people escape house fire in St. Joseph Township

ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Ten people escaped uninjured from a large house fire early Wednesday morning, according to the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety. Crews from multiple fire departments assisted in putting out the flames.

A call came in at 2:40 a.m. reporting the house fire in the 1500 block of Colfax Avenue.

According to reports, multiple units from Benton Township, Saint Joe, and Benton Harbor arrived to fight the fire, which had engulfed the home.

Officials say the fire is still under investigation.
