Very active weekend weather-wise and, unfortunately, not the best one to spend time outside. The first round of showers and storms will move through the area this morning, with a break during the midday hours. The second round should come through in the afternoon. Berrien and Cass counties will get the most out of the rainfall this weekend and will be under a Flood Watch from 8 AM EDT today through this evening. 2 to 3 inches could fall in these areas with some receiving 3+” so streams and poor drainage areas will be areas to watch.
A quick break comes through again for the late evening hours, but the showers, storms, and wind come back around midnight. The rain should finally taper off by Sunday afternoon, but wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph will continue throughout the second half of the weekend.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and strong afternoon storms. High of 74.
Tonight: Cloudy with showers and strong storms. Breezy. Low of 60.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms ending in the afternoon. Lake effect showers possible late. Windy. Morning high of 61 with temps falling into the lower 50s by the end of the day.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs near 60.
