US Coast Guard, New Buffalo firefighters battle boat fire on Lake Michigan

NEW BUFFALO, Mich.— The U.S. Coast Guard's Station Michigan City along with the New Buffalo Fire Department on Tuesday battled a boat fire on Lake Michigan.
Crews extinguished the boat fire outside of the harbor in New Buffalo, according to a post to the Coast Guard’s Facebook page.
All occupants on board the boat were evacuated and suffered no injuries, the Coast Guard said.
