SOUTH BEND, Ind – The Four Winds Invitational is in South Bend for the seventh time and organizers say it wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated volunteers.
From assisting the golfers, the media, and updating the leaderboard they do it all
“Volunteering is a terrific experience” Tom Chang of South Bend said.
Despite being in need of volunteers as recently as last week, the tournament now has more than one hundred volunteers that help in every part of the operation.
Volunteer Alan Miller says he’s happy to volunteer at a local event that he says is good for the community.
“It’s a great value added to the community. I think they’ve got a great group here at Blackthorn, it draws a lot of attention to this area, which we need” Miller said.
As round two wrapped up volunteers said they’re looking forward to the final day and volunteering again in the future.
