Ora joined the Navy after graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1970. He started as a RadioMen (RM) on the LST USS Tuscaloosa. He was on Active Duty for 3 years and then spent the next 22 years in the Reserves. He retired as a Store Keeper First Class (SK1/E-6) in 1995. Ora passed away in November of 2009. We are very proud of his service and 3 of his children followed his footsteps by joining the Navy and the Army.

Dad was the recipient of 2 Bronze Stars with Valor and a Purple Heart. He succumbed to heart disease that set in prematurely after his return from Vietnam and exposure to Agent Orange.
