ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Friday, January 5, 2024
Today marks the end of a relatively inactive weather pattern across our area with Michiana expecting highs in the upper 30s and mostly cloudy skies. Expect light snow to begin late overnight into Saturday as lows drop just below freezing. Snow showers last until the middle of Saturday as temps warm above freezing, instead turning to a rain/snow mix for the rest of the daytime hours. Light snow continues Saturday night into Sunday morning with snowfall totals hovering around an inch expected for most areas. Travel impacts will be minimal this weekend, but slick spots on the road and other surfaces are likely. Later next week, another system of snow will be approaching our area but the exact track and accumulations are uncertain at this point. Like mentioned before, expect generally unpleasant wintry weather from next Tuesday onwards with the greatest travel impacts coming on Tuesday.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 38.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 28.
Saturday: Rain/snow. High 36.
Sunday: AM snow showers, overcast after. High 37.
