Wizarding games come to South Bend
Facebook Major League Quadball SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Visit South Bend Mishawaka is welcoming Major League Quadball to St. Joseph County for its North Division Championship, held in Lakeville at Newton Park.
Six teams from Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis, Rochester, N.Y. and Toronto will compete for the divisional title.
“We’re thrilled to partner again with Major League Quadball to host the North Division Championship,” said VSBM Director of Sports Development Nick Kleva.
Formerly known as quidditch, quadball is a version of the game popularized in the “Harry Potter” book and movies.
The North Division Championship begins Saturday and runs through Sunday. The public is welcome to attend. Advance tickets are available now online. This event precedes the MLQ Championship, which will take place Aug. 26-28 in Des Moines, Iowa.
