Teacher arraigned on criminal sexual conduct charges

A former St. Joseph High School teacher was arraigned May 7 on four charges of criminal sexual conduct.

Lauren Hill, 26, is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a minor student.

Two of the counts allege sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 16 years using a position of authority and two counts allege sexual penetration with a minor age 16-18 years old between a teacher and a student.

All the charges involve a single student.

Hill faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

Hill's bond was set at $10,000.

Hill has been a teacher at St. Joseph High School for four years and was also a girls' soccer coach.

When the allegations came out, she resigned from the school.
