Pastor searching for D-Day survivors

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A pastor in Naples, Florida wants to find D-Day veterans so he can give them sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy.

Pastor John McWilliams visited Omaha Beach in Normandy last year and brought back 14 pounds of sand.

The First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs is sponsoring a program to locate as many D-Day survivors so he can send them a portion of the sand if they would like it.

It is completely free. No veteran will have to pay to receive the sand.

If you would like more information or would like a portion of the sand, contact [email protected].
